These drawings by SEMPE appeared in the magazine l'EXPRESS in 1969 and in an album by Sempé entitled "Saint Tropez", while the construction of PORT GRIMAUD, already well advanced, aroused the admiration of some and the mockery of others... but did not leave anyone indifferent! ...
       Mr. Spoerry liked this very humorous way of describing the construction of his lake city.
